About TSL Kirklees – Website Design & SEO Case Study

Features of the site

TSL Kirklees is a small local charity that helps charities, community and voluntary groups, and social enterprises in Kirklees grow and develop, and make great things happen that support local people and communities. We do this by offering free support, advice, training, and networking to any local organisation, by connecting groups to each other, the people who need them or volunteers who want to work with them, and key local stakeholders and decision-makers, and by uniting them to create partnerships, trust and collaboration and a voice for the third sector in Kirklees. We are led and governed by our members, and any organisation that registers on our website has the option of becoming a member and helping to shape what we do in and for Kirklees.

“We had had a bespoke website built for us by a local developer that included lots of additional functionality to help us manage our membership, take annual payments, and allow members to use our site to advertise volunteering roles, share news etc. However, it was slow, had lots of bugs, kept getting hacked and the hosting and support costs were beginning to spiral – all of which was difficult for a small local charity that exists to support other local charities. Agency For Good stepped in, rebuilt everything, and created something that was more efficient, cost-effective and that we were able to maintain and manage ourselves.”
