Charity Web Development
Bespoke, Secure, and High-Performance Digital Infrastructure
Need complex CRM integrations, secure donor portals, or a bespoke WordPress architecture?
We are expert charity web developers building robust digital platforms for social purpose organisations.
An Award-Winning Charity Web Development Agency
Outgrown your current website?
If your charity is scaling, a basic template website will quickly hold you back. We build bespoke, high-capacity digital platforms capable of handling high traffic, complex data management, and custom functionality tailored to your exact mission.
Drowning in manual admin?
If your website doesn’t automatically sync with your charity CRM or donation gateways, your team is wasting hours on manual data entry. Our developers build seamless API integrations to automate your workflows and secure your donor data.
Struggling with legacy tech debt?
Slow loading times, frequent bugs, and spiraling hosting costs are common when relying on outdated bespoke code. We specialise in rescuing, modernising, and securing legacy digital infrastructure.
Expert Charity Web Developers for the Third Sector
We love solving complex technical challenges for charities. While a beautiful design attracts visitors, it is the underlying web development, the clean code, the secure databases, and the API connections that converts those visitors into donors and volunteers.
When it comes to digital tech for charities, there are compliance, security, and integration requirements to consider. From managing Gift Aid declarations to ensuring your platform meets WCAG accessibility standards, off-the-shelf website builders simply aren’t enough.
We act as your dedicated technical partners. We help you make sense of your technical requirements, building bespoke digital environments that reduce your overheads, automate your administration, and increase your social impact.
Bespoke WordPress Engineering
We don’t rely on bloated, off-the-shelf themes. Our web developers build lightweight, custom WordPress architectures from the ground up, ensuring maximum site speed, robust security, and long-term digital sustainability.
Ethical & Transparent Pricing
Complex web development often comes with large agency fees. As a social purpose agency, we keep our own overheads low, delivering complex technical builds and custom coding at charity-friendly prices.
Built for Scalability
We develop with your charity’s future in mind. Whether you need to integrate a new fundraising platform next year or launch a massive national campaign, our code is clean, flexible, and ready to scale alongside your cause.
How our charity web developers can help
Seamless Donation & Charity CRM Integrations
Generating income and saving admin time is vital for your cause and central to our purpose. We build beautiful websites but also highly functional fundraising platforms tailored to the 3rd sector. Your new website will integrate seamlessly with the tools you already use to manage your supporters.
Our dev team can expertly connect your bespoke WordPress site with leading charity CRMs and payment gateways, including:
Donation Platforms: Easily accept one-off and recurring donations via JustGiving, GiveWP, Stripe, or GoCardless.
Charity CRMs: Automatically sync your supporter data straight into platforms like Donorfy, Beacon, or Salesforce, reducing manual data entry for your team.
Gift Aid Integration: Maximise your income by allowing UK donors to easily claim Gift Aid at the point of donation checkout.
Inclusive & Accessible Web Design (WCAG Compliant)
We believe your mission should be accessible to everyone in your community. As a charity specific and ethical agency, we believe inclusive design is a necessity, not an afterthought.
We structure, design and develop all of our charity websites to meet WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) standards.
We take care to have the correct colour contrast ratios for visually impaired users, to structuring the code for easy screen reader support and full keyboard accessibility, we ensure your website provides a welcoming and compliant experience for every single visitor no matter their ability.

SOME OF OUR WORK
It has been a pleasure working with the team at Agency For Good. They listened to everything we needed and wanted in a new website, then delivered it! Our new World Animal Day website is fun, exciting and easy to use for us and especially for our supporters. We couldn’t be happier with the new website and would recommend Rich and his team to anyone.
Bespoke Portals & Salesforce Integration
The third sector often requires functionality that goes far beyond a standard brochure website. GCVS came to us with a highly complex, growing technical brief. Our developers engineered a robust platform featuring secure member login areas, gated content for subscribers, and an advanced event and training calendar. Crucially, we built custom API integrations connecting their Gravity Forms directly into their Salesforce CRM, eliminating hours of manual data entry for their team.
“Working with the Agency for Good team has been a real pleasure since we started our new website build. As an organisation with many strings to our bow, we had quite a complicated brief (that continues to grow), but the team have been patient and proactive at finding solutions to what we need. On top of that, they’re a really friendly, approachable team to work with and we would highly recommend their services – especially to our colleagues in the voluntary sector.”

Digitising the Grant Application Process
Relying on manual emails or downloadable PDFs for grant applications creates a heavy administrative burden. The Samuel Gardner Memorial Trust needed to bring their decade-old application process into the modern era. We developed a secure, dynamic digital platform featuring built-in, flexible online application forms. This bespoke functionality not only streamlined the submission process for applicants but drastically reduced the processing time for the Trust’s internal team.
“When we approached Agency for Good, our brand and website had been in place for well over a decade and was showing its age. We worked with the AfG team to create a new visual identity that is vibrant, welcoming and sits well alongside the organisations we support. The AfG team quickly understood what we were trying to achieve and created a colour palette and logo with instant impact.
The new website is also a big step forward for us as it includes new features such as an online application form, an area to showcase our work through case studies, and a news page. Since launch, the new brand and website have been incredibly well received by our community. We’ve had nothing but positive comments and are delighted with the end result.”

Simplifying Complex Backend Infrastructure
Bloated, legacy infrastructure doesn’t just slow down your website; it drains your charity’s budget. The Clapham Society was dealing with complicated, expensive backend systems that were difficult to maintain. We completely overhauled their digital architecture, replacing tangled code with a streamlined, flexible WordPress foundation. By taking over and simplifying the complicated backend infrastructure, we empowered their team to manage the site themselves—reducing their ongoing running costs by more than half.
“The Clapham Society are delighted with the Website that Agency For Good created for us. They quickly understood our brief and created something much better: A more contemporary design that’s easier and cheaper to maintain. Using simple clear templates it’s easy for us to keep it fresh and up to date ourselves, which has increased monthly visits to the sites by over 30% but reduced our running costs by more than half. They are easy and transparent to work with and look after all the complicated back end infrastructure so we only have to deal with the one supplier, which makes it a valuable partnership.”

Building MOVE Europe‘s new website with Agency For Good was a great experience. Rich and Sam were responsive to all feedback and showed genuine interest in understanding how our charity works and what we needed from our website. They gave some great suggestions that ensured our new website wasn’t just our old website with a new coat of paint, but a better functioning and more intuitive site overall.
Their rates are really fair because they are aimed at charities and social enterprises – they were able to offer us all the website functionality that we wanted for less than half the price that other web developers quoted.
We would highly recommend Agency For Good!
I’m honestly blown away by how great the platform looks and how such a complex brief has been simplified in such a user-friendly way. Sam has been so helpful throughout the process, answering any questions and working with me to find the best solutions. You’ve got a great team and the work you’re doing really supports impactful startups / companies. It’s so hard when working on a start up to find such cost effective yet quality services, I couldn’t have built my platform without Agency For Good.
Excellent company to work with, we have used Agency for Good 3 times and the quality, speed and delivery of their work is outstanding. I cannot recommend highly enough
We had had a bespoke website built for us by a local developer that included lots of additional functionality to help us manage our membership, take annual payments, and allow members to use our site to advertise volunteering roles, share news etc. However, it was slow, had lots of bugs, kept getting hacked and the hosting and support costs were beginning to spiral – all of which was difficult for a small local charity that exists to support other local charities. Agency For Good stepped in, rebuilt everything, and created something that was more efficient, cost-effective and that we were able to maintain and manage ourselves.

The Difference Between Charity Web Design and Web Development
While design focuses on the visual user experience, charity web development focuses on the engine that powers your organisation. Many agencies can make a website look good, but very few understand the complex technical requirements of the third sector.
Seamless Digital Integration
A successful charity website should act as the central hub for your entire operation. If your current website operates in a silo, it is costing you money. Our technical team builds bespoke bridges between your website and your third-party software. Whether you need to push volunteer applications directly into your database, pull live fundraising totals from JustGiving via API, or manage complex multi-tiered membership subscriptions, our developers write the code that makes it happen flawlessly.
Cyber Security & Compliance
Because charities handle sensitive donor data and financial transactions, technical security is a “Your Money or Your Life” (YMYL) priority. We hold the IASME Consortium Cyber Essentials certification. We ensure your web development project includes SSL encryption, robust firewall protection, GDPR-compliant data storage, and secure hosting protocols to protect your reputation and your supporters.
