Established in March 2016 in response to the safeguarding crisis in Calais, SWWB focuses on direct intervention. They've supported over 40 unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and expanded to work in the UK, providing assessments in cases of detention or deportation. As a voluntary organisation, they seek volunteers and donations.
SWWB, recognising their influential role in the social work profession, advocates for excellent practices with asylum seekers. They engage in campaigns, supporting existing ones and launching initiatives like addressing social work provision for families with No Recourse to Public Funds. The organisation also emphasises continuous learning and skill-sharing through training and providing a platform for those with experiential wisdom of the asylum process.
What They Said
"Working with Agency for Good on our logo, branding, and website has been a brilliant experience. They took the time to really understand who we are and what we needed, and delivered a design that went above and beyond what we’d hoped for. Throughout the process, they have been kind, professional, and really helpful. We love our new look and feel proud of how our website presents our work to the public.
We now have a login portal for our volunteers to access the information and resources they need, which is fantastic. We've also particularly appreciated the ‘how‑to’ tutorial videos on maintaining our website - they’ve been so helpful as we get the hang of things.
We would happily recommend working with Agency for Good - thank you to the team!"
